Works great! Clean, with a menu that comes up with your copy history with a shortcut available anywhere - stores my screenshots, which other clipboard apps fail to do. Good stuff!!

I had a few problems I created as I was messing around with the files and as soon as I emailed them, instant replies and had it fixed practically instantly. Love it, great features, lets you see the actual file on the clipboard, url etc, hex code coloring super useful for someone like me and awesome app. Just wish it previewed more of the clipboard but otherwise awesome!

Does exactly what it says. Finally I can open the clipboard history with a simple shortcut and copy and past my history easily (you can also set your own shortcut combination). I find it very useful to have the popup near my cursor when I open the history with the shortcut instead of the top panel.

Does a nice job saving clippings. I would like the ability to set clippings as favorites.

After switching to a Mac (finally!) at work, I was looking for a replacement for Ditto, my must-have clipboard manager that is unfortunately Windows-only. There are a few options out there, but this one replicates the funcationality I was looking for almost exactly, with a couple extra nice touches for developers (love the swatches for hex colors). The only thing missing is being able to use number keys to quickly paste previous clips, but that’s really not a big deal. Love it!

The program provides a customizable clipboard history, providing settings for both what is instanstly visible and what is grouped into folders. The folders makes it really quick to look at a group of buffers and then just move the mouse down one row to see the next folder. ie: you can set how many of the most recent items you want to be instanstly visible and the size of each folder to hold the remaining items. An abreviated version of the cut item shows in the pop-up menu and the full item shows when hovering over it. The original item or the plain text version can be pasted. It works as advertised and does everything I need. The only issue I had was mixing the web version and the App store version when upgrading to the latest release. The author was extremely responsive in solving the problem, which was really user error.

After using PopCopy2 well beyond it’s lifespan (and chatting with the developer who has taken on a different carrier path), I was delighted to find something that could come close to the ease of use of the aforementioned. PasteBoard has a pleasant user interface, good operation with straight forward options and workflow that keeps the manual steps down while allowing for great clipboard storage and organization. The limits of the storage of clipboards (number of items to show, number of items per clip-folder, are reasonable for most people and keep the interface clean. The operation is fast and works in most mainstream apps. What made me exceptionally nervious is that once the app was originally downloaded and installed from the Apple App Store (the trusted entity & trusted source), it executed a download of a newer version from it’s web site using Safari. I deleted the original app from the App Store and re-installed and it did it again. I wish I had kept the original app but that did make me nervious.

cmd-alt-v will pop up the clipboard. You can use the arrows to navigate through the list of copies. But there is no way to select one easily.

This is obvious one of the many AppStore derivatives of the famous ClipMenu app (open source now). But, this one is actually done right! A wonderful less is more design from the original app which I had to abandon due to lack of update and compatiblity issue. Great work dev and please keep it updated! BTW for clicking the menu to paste directly, you need to check the “input cmd+v after menu item selection” in the preference, then select the application script folder as requested. This actually is due to Apple’s security restrictions I believe. The dev should consider adding an instruction to the website Q/A section.

Exactly the app I was looking for—dead simple clipboard history manager that requires no mouse interactions. However, I really want to be able to paste an item directly from the ^+⌘+V dropdown instead of selecting an option then having to ⌘+V. How about just hitting Tab to paste the currently highlighted selection from the dropdown?
